Karl originates from Austria where he started his professional career with the Vienna Intercontinental Hotel. He was given the opportunity to transfer and as a result was able to work and enjoy life in 9 Intercontinental hotels across the world over a period of 14 years.
He is a seasoned traveller who understands and respects many different cultures, and speaks a number of languages fluently. Prior to settling in Australia he spent many years overseas, 14 of which were based in Singapore.
Over the years, he has had numerous articles published in newspapers, magazines and trade publications, and is known as an active opinion builder for investors and senior executives in Asia and Australia.
Karl is enthusiastic about the industry’s future and relishes the challenge to find new talent to match the ambitions of fine hotels — this is undoubtedly one of the most rewarding aspects of his role.
He is a passionate cyclist and enjoys the outdoors and most of all the beaches of Western Australia.
Tim was born in the UK and grew up in the idyllic Cotswolds region where he received his first taste of the hotel industry.
He graduated from the University of Wales with a BSc (Hons) degree and spent his early years climbing the career ladder working in large hotels in London with several well-known chains. He moved to Australia in the early 1990’s and continued to progress, spending more than 13 years as a Hotel General Manager.
In his 30+ years in Hospitality management he has gained a detailed knowledge of all aspects of the industry including openings, restructures, property development and operation of quality hotels.
His extensive hotel knowledge and hospitality experience have become a key factor in his ability to provide clients and candidates with the exceptional service and results for which he is known.
A dedicated father of two, he is a keen sports fan and sometime coach to his football playing son.
